The basis for Pranamarga© Breathwork is the Rebirthing model, as developed by Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray. It is a natural, safe, and gentle yet powerful process, which uses conscious, connected breathing to access the deeper layers of the psyche. The breath allows us to reach the parts of the subconscious where memories are stored and brings to the surface any negative beliefs, which can then be processed and transformed.
Guided by a trained rebirther, one learns to breathe through difficult or uncomfortable experiences and feelings where the tendency has been to hold one's breath. Energy from suppressed and negated experiences can be freed up and released. The result is an enormous sense of liberation. Many people who have been in talk therapy for years without resolving their deeper issues, have turned to breathwork and experienced amazing results. Taj Ali incorporates elements of hypnotherapy and NLP into the process, which makes this method unique and highly effective.
There, of course, are many other benefits to conscious connected breathing. One of the most important is greatly improved physical health through enhanced oxygenation.
Taj Ali, M.A., CHt. is a certified LRT-trained Rebirther and Clinical Hypnotherapist. In 2008 she presented a series of rebirthing workshops at Body of Santa Fe. From 2005 to 2007 she acted as coordinator of the Santa Fe Rebirthing Center and organized several trainings in Santa Fe with Sondra Ray. Taj Ali has been deeply involved in breathwork since 1990. She studied Holotropic Breathwork under Dr. Stan Grof, and later completed certification in Rebirthing and Sacred Renewal Breathwork with Sondra Ray. In 2006 she completed the Loving Relationships Training (LRT) at the Philadelphia Rebirthing Center.
